2008 U.S. Energy began 2008 with the following accomplishments:
  • More than 60 employees, of which 40 are shareholders
  • New office in Plymouth, MN to accommodate future growth, expansion of our nominations area and on-site power back-up.
  • Acquisition of the assets of Utility Resources Corporation, a Missouri-based energy advisor to industrial clients.
2006
  • More than 120 ethanol plants retain U.S. Energy Services, Inc.
  • 200 attend U.S. Energy Services' 18th Annual Energy Conference.
  • U.S. Energy Services growth surpasses 50 employees.
2004
  • U.S. Energy is recognized by Mastio & Co. as #1 in customer satisfaction among the 44 largest natural gas marketers in the United States.
  • Regional office established in Overland Park, Kansas.
2003
  • U.S. Energy is recognized as a Great Place to Work by the Minneapolis Business Journal.
2002
  • The company shareholders agree to an Employee Retention Stock Bonus Plan where stock is distributed to eligible employees based on year end performance. The intent of this plan is to distribute ownership of the company to as many employees as possible.
  • INC. Magazine recognizes U.S. Energy as the 183rd fastest growing privately–owned company in the United States.
2000
  • U.S. Energy launches its password–protected web site to provide client specific energy information.
  • U.S. Energy is recognized by Mastio & Co. as #2 in customer satisfaction among the largest natural gas marketers in the United States.
1999
  • U.S. Energy acquires all shares of Energy and Environmental Consulting Engineers to add electric energy expertise to its service offerings.
  • The U.S. Gas Services, Inc. name is changed to U.S. Energy Engineering, Inc.
  • U.S. Energy is recognized by Mastio & Co. as #1 in customer satisfaction among the largest natural gas marketers in the United States.
1997
  • U.S. Energy is recognized by Mastio & Co. as #3 in customer satisfaction among the largest natural gas marketers in the United States.
1993
  • U.S. Energy Services, Inc. is incorporated in Minnesota by four former U.S. Gas Marketing employees to provide natural gas management services. (Our belief was that FERC Order 636 would significantly increase the number of companies able to purchase third-party natural gas supplies. We also believed that the larger number of deregulated participants would value an experienced agent who was not biased toward a particular supplier or fuel type.)
1989
  • U.S. Gas Services, Inc. is incorporated in Nebraska to provide natural gas engineering services.
  • U.S. Gas Marketing holds its first annual Energy Conference for clients.
1987
  • Three former InterNorth employees start U.S. Gas Marketing in Omaha, Nebraska as a gas marketing company selling gas to midwest utilities.
