Sentinel Service blends expert market evaluation and recommendations with data analysis and client assessment tools to minimize risk and seize market opportunities in the procurement of natural gas and electricity. A myriad of data analysis tools are employed including basis monitoring, a Sentinel Indicator Model, and daily market monitoring. The U.S. Energy risk management advisor provides you with analysis and recommendations, assessment of strategies and objectives, and insight to market conditions and trends. Your risk management plan will be integrated with your physical energy procurement strategies.

The Sentinel Service Indicator Model & Sentinel Alert
U.S. Energy monitors commodity trends and pricing on a daily basis. A newly developed tool, the Sentinel Indicator Model, utilizes multiple regression analysis to advise whether or not to purchase or maintain a hold position in the procurement of energy; factors such as production levels, storage inventories and demand are utilized. Trends considered in modeling include Short-Term, Long-Term, and Forward Curve market surveying. When indicated, U.S. Energy will issue a Sentinel Alert coupled with supporting analysis indicating that a purchasing opportunity should be evaluated.
